As Canada refines its immigration approach to better align with labour market needs, the Immigrant Employment Councils of Canada (IECC) has launched the Strengthening Employer Feedback Channels (SEFC) initiative. SEFC ensures that employer perspectives directly inform system design, policy development, and workforce strategies that support a more effective and responsive immigration system.

This national project highlights the essential role that employers play in shaping inclusive, adaptive, and future-ready workforce systems. By amplifying employer voices, SEFC supports the co-development of policies and practices that strengthen both Canada’s labour market and its long-term economic success.

SEFC Forums in Southwestern Ontario

WILL Employment Solutions is hosting employer forums to foster open dialogue between employers, community leaders, and policymakers to address real-world challenges and opportunities related to integrating skilled immigrant talent into our workforce. Through shared experiences and collective insight, the forums will help shape programs and policies that enhance workforce inclusion, improve talent retention, and support economic growth across Southwestern Ontario and across Canada.

We will explore topics such as:

  • recruitment and credential recognition
  • workplace inclusion and culture
  • onboarding practices for internationally trained professionals
  • system navigation and policy barriers
  • regional labour market needs and employer priorities
